On the 10th and 11th of July 2025, the staff at NOS enjoyed their first-ever away weekend at Dearne Valley. The team participated in a variety of activities, from mini Olympics and problem-solving challenges to tackling the high-up trapeze, where many members overcame their fear of heights.
For many staff, it was the first time meeting colleagues in person, and it was remarkable how quickly they bonded, supporting each other across all activities. The teams, Academic Avengers and Brainy Bunch, competed throughout the weekend, but by the end, points were forgotten and everyone was considered a winner.
The away day provided a fantastic opportunity for team building, fun, and creating memories that will carry into the school year.
