We are incredibly proud that National Online School has become the first online SEND school in the UK to achieve the Parent Friendly Schools Standard Award.
The accreditation recognises the strong partnerships we build with parents and carers and the important role families play in supporting students throughout their educational journey. Achieving the award on our very first application is a fantastic achievement for the whole school community.
At National Online School, working closely with families is at the heart of everything we do. As a fully online SEND school, communication, trust and collaboration with parents and carers are essential in helping our students feel supported, engaged and successful.
The award also highlights the growing importance of parental engagement within online education and specialist SEND provision, particularly as more families seek flexible approaches to learning that meet their child’s individual needs.
We are excited to continue building on this success as we now work towards the Silver Award, while sharing ideas and best practice with other schools across the Parent Friendly Schools network.
This achievement is a wonderful reflection of the supportive relationships between our staff, students and families, and we are incredibly proud of everyone who has contributed to making National Online School such a positive and inclusive learning community.
